I'm a college student and I work for UPS Santa Maria Center this past winter break. I thought it would be a good idea to earn some extra cash. I went to the training session (which we were paid for attending) and I work with a driver (who's name will be left nameless) in the Orcutt area. They use a dia machine to clock your hours. The driver clocked mine is for me. Once the Winter employment help was over, I turned in my uniform. I wasn't handed a check, so I asked if there was one for me. M. Ford (I guess she handles the temps) said there wasn't one for me. She said she would look into it, I'm guessing she never did. I tried calling for her a few times and even left a message. Well I didn't get paid for the short time I work for them. But mind you, I did sweat running those packages to the doors. I use to think UPS was cool, or maybe it's just the Santa Maria center who doesn't have it together. I would like to write a letter to the head office of UPS. I know they aren't to blame, but they should know what's going on with the other divisions of their company.
