I was hired by Tony to do a trash hauling job and i recieved a check from Washington Mutual for $175. Later that evening Tony called and i was asked to do another job. He told me that we would meet after i finished that job for another check. I was later find out that Tony was at the bank cancelling the check while i was doing the second job. After i finished i tried to call him, and he wouldn't answer his phone. When i finally got ahold of him he told me that he was in a meeting, and he would call me back. I told him that we would meet tomorrow for the other check and he agreed. The next day I figured out that Tony was at the bank cancelling the check. I tried to get ahold of him but he again wouldn't answer the phone. He would'nt show for the meeting either. I then figured out that he had ripped me off, so I tried him several times and he was always "busy" and he would "call me back later".in all he owed me $300. His son was involved with the scheme and also signed the check.
