My daughter filled out a card to have representative call her when the company would be in town.
She was notified when the company came to town, and we attended a meeting. At that meeting, several attendees were chosen to return the next day. She was one of them. We went to a meeting and received information to complete for the next meeting. When this meeting was held, we signed a contract of interest, and agreed to pay a certain amount that day, with the balance being due at the next meeting, and before any pics could be taken. This would be a 3-year contract.
The next meeting we attended, paid, and set up makeup/pic shoot to take place on another day. When this day arrived, Laura got pics made after having makeup applied, etc. The last and final meeting was held after photos were developed. Attendees were shown how to organize a portfolio, and were given a chance to walk on a runway.
There has been no word (verbal, written or otherwise) since. I feel that this company came to town solely to take money for nothing...
My daughter is sincere in wanting to be in commercials, etc., but gets disappointed when everything is a "scam."
