Nextel - Sprint
Ripoff, kept my 250.00 dep and locked me out of my online acct so I couldn't check my pymt or bal history after I told them I was cancelling my service

I, had to put up a dep of 250 for my Nextel phone, and from day one after getting my phone I had all kinds of problems with it. The service, and with phone always dropping calls, messages stating no service, key pads locking up on me. You name it the phone probably did it.

I was put on what Nextel calls a spending limit which is really a bunch of bull what this is. It's a way of punishing a person who has less then perfect credit and they actually make more money off of you.

Anyway to make this very long and true story short, I decided to cancel after my year contract was up. I had got a letter telling me my dep would be released on the 16th Of Jan and would be applied to my acct of a refund to be sent to me.

I was looking on my acct online and noticed the dep had never posted nor did I ever get it in the mail, so I contacted them and they said my spending limit for the month was 250 and now it was over by almost 200 bucks. Well of course I argued nicely with them at first. I went to go online and check out what was going on with my acct and they had locked my acct info up and the message said I had to call a cust serv rep and make a pymt first before I could access my acct info online, sounded sneaky to me.

Anyhow, in closing of my complaint here. They shut my phone off right after I got a email telling me my phone serv and acct was turned back on and everything was fine. Just two days after getting the online email my phone was cut off and I called them and after 45 min on the phone being passed around to different people and having to repeat my story over and over about what had happen. No one came up with the same answer, or any advise that made since.

One said my dep should have been released on the 16th and applied to my acct but felt it may have been added on to my acct as useage instead of a credit. I could go on and on about this but I won't. I'm sure anyone who has dealt with this company and is un-happy knows where I'm coming from.

These dishonest company's need to pay for what they do to people. Maybe a class action lawsuit could be in our near future, I don't care if I got a dime, as long as justice prevails.
