I called la weightloss and scheduled an appointment to come in. Since i had seen their advertisement on tv, went in and they tell you about their program. I specifically asked them, am i obligated to buy anything from them. The representative told me that we would discuss that in a couple of days. The part of the program she told me about was about $500.00. Then they gave me the welcome package and went home. After 2 days, i go back to la weightloss and they tell me that i am obligated to buy their protein bars (la lites)!!! I was furious!!! I wanted to quit the program right then and there!!! I called them about 3 weeks later and asked if there was a way for me to cancel the program. (at this point, i just felt cheated and highly disappointed at the whole process) they said no can do. Now i am really, really, upset that there is no way of cancelling the program and now i have to pay about $1,500.00 for the whole program. (they obligate you to buy their protein bars for 1 year, which in my case came out to be $1000.00)!!! (the supplements is how la weighloss makes their money) i just feel, if they would have told me about the 1 year obligation to buying their protein bars, i would have never, ever signed up on their program. To me they falsify their advertisement tv and definetely lied about the upfront costs.
