TURNED OFF SERVICE then found old acct. Said it would have to be paid

The service was under my daughters ss# because we had old unpaid acct at previous residences. Well i paid up my daughters acct/ss# @ the office. They told me it would be restored the next day well i waited til 4:30 pm. No show so i called and they lied and said my husband called and cancelled the service he wanted it too! Then they mentioned an old acct from 3 yrs before and said it had to be paid before service would be back on. They flat out lied!!! Why didn't they tell me that at the office??? Well we had to get directv they suck too //but we only have this cable provider to choose from in roanoke, va so what options are there???
