If you live in Michigan, do not do any business with AAA Auto Glass, Inc./Payless Auto Glass. Their ad says they are in Roseville, Michigan under the name Payless Auto Glass, but actually they are in Southfield under the name of AAA Auto Glass.
Terrible service and they lie.
I looked in the yellow pages for a glass company to replace the windshield in my granddaughter's 1994 Plymouth. According to the ad, the business was in Roseville only a couple miles away. I called and the man answered, "auto glass". I made the appointment, the quote was $159.00 TOTAL. I made it a point to ask if the $159 was the TOTAL including tax and the man on the phone said, "yes". Another person came out to my home to install the glass.
I had told the man on the phone that the old windshield was completely gone. The installer told me he would put the rubber gasket on and would only charge me an extra $6 or $7. When he was finished he said it went real smooth and asked for an additional $9 and said I was getting a good deal, that he wasn't even charging me any tax! So the total was $168.00.
When I went out to check on the window, I discovered he had only put the rubber across the top of the windshield, not on the bottom or sides. I called AAA Auto Glass 3 days in a row and each day they said someone would come out and take care of it.
Yesterday, "Rick" called me from AAA Auto Glass and told me that I would have to take it and have the windshield taken off because the rubber should be connected to the windshield. He said the window might break in the process. He refused to straighten this out saying that I got a "good deal" on the windshield and they didn't even charge me any tax.
Do not do any business with these people. They ripped me off and refuse to offer me anymore service to take care of their mistake.
