Ripoff was still charging me for my canceled service

I was working for nhcd in january and luckily I only did it for two weeks, they also told me about matrix telecom, which sounded very interesting having to only pay 19.95 a month so I agreed on that. Well anyway to make a long story short, I had canceled the telephone service about 2 wks into having it. I then kept seeing charges just keep adding up. So what I did was call matrix customer service and asked them why charges kept building up and heres what she told me ; Well once our customers cancel the service the charges will keep adding until you have a zero balance. I have not paid any of that because I feel that I am not obligated to because of dishonesty. So couple months past by and Guess What... Im still getting charged. Well for two wks of their service supposively being 19.95 per month, the bill is now roughly around 130.00 after like 6 months of canceling my membership... So I decided to send an email and here is what it said:

First off I would like to say that I am not to happy with your company. I have canceled the phone service I had with you, through NHCD, and I was told the service was only 19.95 a month. It has been over 6 months that I have canceled everything and yet the telephone charges keep going up. It is now somewhere in the $100.00's. I dont understand that and I was never informed about these fees. Therefore what I would like to do is report your company to the better business bureau and usacomplaints.com. My account number or phone number is 920-452 - , that is the number I used when using your service for 2 wks, which now I have changed my home phone. Please respond ASAP, as I would like to hear what you have to say. Thank You. And their response

This email is to just inform you that your acct. Has been canceled and all balances have been moved to a zero balance. A bill on 11/08/05 was sent to you with this information. We do apologize for the inconvenience and hope that we have not caused to much trouble. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to call our customer service at 800-282-0242 and speak to a customer service rep. We are here 24/7.

Anyway I never recieved a bill stating anything like that, however I am very pleased with the outcome. I would never get myself in that situation again. Hope this helps anyone.
