Unauthorized, unapologetic charge to my debit card, ripoff

After a good business relationship with Blue Marlin Pool Service, we decided to take over pool service ourselves for the winter. Our last bill was for $157.

In the past, we have given permission for our debit card on file to be charged for services. Upon reviewing our bank account, we noticed that Blue Marlin charged the $157 to our account without request or permission.

When we contacted the company, we were told they thought it was okay since we'd given permission in the past. I stated that there was a difference between being given permission to debit an account, and just deciding you wanted payment and debiting someone's account.

I was completely unaware that the $157 would be coming out of an account I normally operate at a zero balance.
We were told that the debit would not be reversed, that we owed the money, and we could either "drive down and pay them in cash" or let the ILLEGAL charge stand.

We have filed a fraud complaint, a police report, and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Do not give this company any credit information. They fully admit that the charges were unauthorized, which makes them illegal.
