This moving van company out of mount pocono, pennsylvania are the worst moving company in the world. When we first called them for a quote for a five bedroom house they said it would be 1,500 dollars. They came to our house on our moving date (five hours after they said they would be there) with one of the smallest u-haul trucks that they make expecting to move all of our stuff in one day. They managed to get all of our boxes that we had in one load, but had to come back the next day for more. Before they left they wanted 2,000 dollars for only the first day of moving. We couldn't believe it so we called the owner and she got so nasty on the phone and said to us - do not make me come up there after you if you don't pay this bill.
The next day the showed up again five hours later than when they said that they would be there with the same little truck again expecting to move the rest of our stuff. They took what they could again plus another check for 2,000 dollars. They still didn't fit all of our things into the moving van. So - the next day they were back again. They finally managed to fit all of our things into their truck, but left behind a lot of things we asked for them to take with them.
A month or so down the road we tried to contact them with a moving date because they were holding our things in their warehouse-and couldn't reach them. We went online to get a phone number and came across a lot of complaints and consumer complaintss against this company. I then decided to drive to the warehouse to see if our things were ok and they were thrown in a huge pile in the back of the warehouse. Also to find out that a pissed off customer had set the whole back of the building on fire and two of their moving trucks. When i was at the moving company the owner was very rude and said that she is sick of the area because she claims everyone here is racist.
Another month or so down the road they still had our things in storage. They called us to tell us that they were going to auction all of or things off. We then found out that they have on insurance, not licenced, and filled for chapter 11 bancrupcy. I went down there again because we were going to hire another moving company to move our belongings. I went to the front door and the owner assulted me. I then called 911 and the police came. They went to the door and demanded to see the contract. The owner of the building was then placed under arrest for assulting me. This women resisted arrest and was hitting and kicking the two police officers who were there. She ended up breaking on of the cops legs in two places by kicking it. The other owner was placed under arrest also. Now according to the law we are not allowed to go into this warehouse and get our own furniture from them.
