Ripoff of employees and consumers addendum

Few people realize the extent that such a large Corporation like Amerigas willl go to cover it's butt to commit acts of near aggression on staff for not complying to the "Good ole boy" network it has facilitated and nurtured. Few can see that if you do not "measure up" to it's standards you are set apart and isolated.

This is true of the way it treats it's Managers especailly the female Manager I spoke of before. She was given over to the wolves so to speak to fail. When she didn't fail as it was thought she would, "Mistakes" that others have and are making as managers are not looked at with a microscope as they were with her.

Doing her job as she did, increasing sales, bringing in customers, working long hours and not given just compensation for her time and expenses was not enough for management. Nothing was set in stone that any person could grasp hjold of to make the inroads she strived for yet she made great inroads, meeting goals and exceeding them.

Now how does this relate to you? Look at the company and it's price structure. Yes we've had a terrible blow to all levels of fuel production and transportation but has it been so great as Amerigas would have you think? Independents have lower prices and seem to have a steady supply of propane yet Amerigas says it must charge higher prices and ever increasing fees to cover cost over runs to supply you with product.

What does this mean to the every day cunsumer? Higher costs to heat and cook and fewer dollars for other expenses of the everyday. What does it mean to Amerigas? Profit. There is NOTHING wrong with a company in any endeaver to make a profit. That is the American way and the American dream. But is this company "profiting" itself out of business? Many think so even here in Amerigas country. Customers are leaving to go to lower prices and fewer fees and yet Ameigas increases BOTH.

They should learn from Walmarts example. Lower prices and fees, quanity and quality of product is why many Kmarts were closed in competition with Walmart as did many other smaller "Independent" retailers. Why? They were undercut, customers went to Walmart in titanic waves and Walmart flourished and has grown. They profited not by higher prices but by NUMBERS of customers they won over, slashed their competitions throats and came out and remain #1.

Greed? Maybe. But Greed works if directed and utilized properly. Convince the customer you are the best, give him the lowest price and best service and you win. We should be turning people away from our doors for lack of time to serve them. Not hear them say I have a better deal elsewhere.

But what can one expect from a company that cares so little for really good staff. If you treat your own with disdain what will you do to strangers (customers) you do not know but will strap at every opportunity for, pofit?
