Tico Calling Card - CallingCardPlus - Reliable Phone Cards - Reliable Telecorp - Radiant Telecomm
Fraudulent phone card, identity scam, theft, horrible customer service, run around RIPOFF

I ordered a Tico Calling Card from callingcardplus.com so I could call a close friend who is a soldier in Kuwait. Several times, when attempting to use this card the first time, it wouldn't work or would say I had too many or too little or too many minutes remaining. I called customer service several times about this & all the reps would say is "we'll send a report" EVERY SINGLE TIME. They even asked me for the phone number of the person I was calling so that they could try to use MY calling card to reach them! The two or three times I did finally get the darned thing to work, I talked as much as I could. I purchased 442 minutes, but I understand that I would lose minutes cuz calling Kuwait is expensive, plus it was a mobile phone, etc., etc.

At the end of the month, I got my phone bill from Sprint (this consumer complaints is not about them) and I was charged for every single call/attempted call I made to Kuwait with this calling card. I explained the situation to my sprint representative and they said the fact that I received no 1-800 access number seemed suspect and referred me to the fraud department.

In order to resolve the matter, Sprint told me to call the calling card company & have them run a report on the pin # I used because there's no way two phone companies can process the same phone calls. First, I called customer service 1-800-330-5795 and got "Laura" whose supervisor was unavailable for ten minutes. (It's a call center, why would there only be one supervisor?) At first Laura, who barely spoke English, said there was nothing she could do except "run a report" on the card, which she said showed only 58 minutes of use. But I was persistent.

Finally I got a fax number, for some company called Radiant (which she spelled "r-a-d-i-a-n-c-t") and I pushed and pushed until I got a phone number and a contact person (a Mr. William Perez) for them (why should I used my money to fax someone when this mess is already costing me money?). Finally, I called the number for "radiant, " but got "reliable telecorp" and had to call three days in a row to get ahold of the elusive "Mr. William Perez." William Perez said I'd only used my calling card for TWO minutes on TWO seperate days & my repeated calls to customer service were also on these same two days (did they bill me for calling THEM?!?!).

I wanted him to send me documentation of this but he said I needed a notarized request (costs more money, theoretically), a front & back copy a government issued I.D. And my calling card and pin. He didn't even say he was sorry that I was having trouble! What a rip off!
