I was assured verbally by a Direc4u representative that if I purchased the 2-year extended warranty that any and all problems that occured with my system would be repaired or fixed free of charge.
The first time a have an issue (6 months after purchase), I called for someone to come out to check my system, they tell me I have to pay for a service call. This would coast me at least $70.00.
My other option is to send in the receiver to them in Miami. This process takes a minimum of 2 weeks, and it still doesn't determine who is responsible for the cost of the repair.in the mean time I'm stuck with no satellite.
Basically the warranty isn't worth the sweaty residue that drips off my butt on on hot summer day.
This is a classic example of why not to purchase a extended warranties!!!
