I fell ill nearly 3 years ago and my wife had contacted our creditors to work out a payment etc, and they did not want to hear anything about it.
I did some research and came accross DRS, and we signed up shortly afterward, paid over 3,000 dollars and got our welcome, packet etc, and began to send our creditors etters, etc. I filed for arbitration, for all 3 creditors, and won, but is it enforceable? My local attorney does not think so, and neither does my bankruptcy attorney.
We then purchased a summons package, because I was served 2 summons', and this was an additional couple hundred bucks, I ended up trying to find a local attorney to represent me in local circuit court, he did not think we stood a snowballs chance, and he ghecked on DRS attorney Augie something, and found him to not even be practicing, we have since filed chapter7. And are in the process of this bieng that our credit went from 750 to around 400,
And with the new bankruptcy bill taking effect in october, we did not want to lose this chance. I did everything as they had instructed me to, to no avail.
The paralegal staff was atrocious, as they did not ever respond with any TILA violations as was promised even afer I faxed copies of all of my paper work, I could have had nearly 3 years of the bankruptcy bad credit done with had Inot wasted my time and money, now it will be 7 years more.
