Back in we fell behind on our mortgage and got a notice of foreclosure on Apr. We contacted TILA Solutions and they assured us that their 'forensic audit' would stop the foreclosure process once we filed for bankruptcy and submitted an Adversary Proceeding through the court and that we could get our clear title.
The audit was performed for $2995 and then turned over to J&S Paralegal out of DC. We sent them $500 to help us with the bankruptcy filing, got some improperly filled out forms from them (which had to be redone by me), got all the forms submitted to the court and paid the filing fee of $275. No further help was forthcoming from either outfit. We didn't know what to do and even though we wrote an adversary proceeding and filed it with the bankruptcy court, all of it eventually got thrown out and the ch. 11 bankruptcy cancelled.
Bank of America eventually got around to filing another foreclosure notice and we were able to work through a local realtor to do a short sale in January of this year for a loss of about $82,000 in value.
Is there any way we can get some of our funds returned to us from these 2 scam artists? Both TILA Solutions and J&S Paralegal firms refuse to answer us when contacted.
