I started my own home based business as being a distributor for a health company. My business was going good and the money started coming in, but I would sometimes have to wait for payments with some of my customers. So, I decided to look into using a credit card machine. I contact a card service, which they in turn hooked my up with Ladco Leasing. Not realizing it at the time, I had to pay the card service plus Ladco Leasing for the machine.
The payments was taken out of my business account for the machine at the cost of $34.25 a month. Well, after a while, my business started going down hill. I discontinued the card services without any problems, but as for Ladco Leasing, I was in a contract for 48 months. To me there was nothing I could do. So, I continue to pay the fee of $34.25 a month. Then in August of I closed my business account and Ladco Leasing contact me about payment. I told them I would just start sending payments by check... No problem... NOT!
From September til May of I have faithfully sent in my payments each month. But in June Ladco Leasing has add $5.00 charge to my bill for MANUAL BILLING! Now, when I talked to them back in September about just paying by check, there was nothing said about an extra charge for billing. And for about NINE months, I never got charge that extra $5.00!! I have excepted the payment of $34.25 a month for a machine I don't even use, but why should I get charge $5.00 extra for billing when it doesn't cost that to simple mail out a bill! I haven't paid the $5.00 for manual billing and now they are saying they may report information about my account to the credit bureaus.
It's just so stupid to get charge extra money for billing when even on the back of their billing statement they have "FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE WE ACCEPT" to make payments by credit cards! It's my choice on how I want to pay my bills. And with things that go on today, I don't want to given out any information about my personal bank account to anyone. Pay a bill by check, money order, credit card or automatic payments... It's all the same... The bill is still getting paid!!
