July 11. Betty Davenport with Island Pools stated that they sent a man to apply for the building permit three weeks ago. Yet, today we received a phone call from the county needing my name because the man was there applying for the building permit. They confirmed this was the first visit there.
July 13. Betty Davenport called from Island Pools and said she called Ms. Utility three days ago to ask them to come put and mark our utility lines. This was a Wednesday. Three days before would of been Sunday and they are closed. I called Ms. Utility and asked them when Island Pools put the request in and it was on that day at 11AM. More lies. Meanwhile Island Pools had told me that the next day someone was coming out to flag out where the pool was going to go so I got in contact with the locator and asked special permission for them to rush this and get it done today. Of course, the next day Island Pools was a no-show and no phone call. Now Island Pools are saying the county doesn't need to inspect and they don't need to flag where the pool goes.
AM July 19. I called Island Pools and spoke to Betty Davenport to find out why they hadn't shown up to put up the flags to outline the pool for the county and she hung up the phone on me.
PM July 19. I called back Island Pools and spoke to a man named Frank and asked him to please give me an approximate date when they feel the pool will be installed. Frank responded "whenever the f*ing rain stops." Very unprofessional using profanity. I informed him that it hadn't rained where we live.
July 20. Sales rep for Island Pools, Betty Davenport called and spoke to my wife telling her she ordered the remote fiber optic light and that it would cost an additional $1,500.00. My Wife told her that it is stated on the contract that it is included. After much song and dance she is insisting we just pay the extra money out of pocket. My Wife told her that we don't want it then and she said that it is too late because she already ordered it and it is shipping to my house. She also told my wife not to tell me about it as I would get mad. Ms. Davenport stated that she may have forgotton to put the extra amount of money on the contract because she was "at our house for two damn hours and wanted to get out of there." Profanity and very unprofessional once again. Ms. Davenport stated she will come by our house after the light is delivered for us to sign a yellow piece of paper stating to agree to pay for it. (This will not happen.)
Too many lies and not keeping us informed. Pool is still not installed and not any ground has even been broken.
