I see on the buffalo job finder that there is a company looking for data entry clerks. So I call the number, but that number says to call a new number... 1-800-674-1641
Who answers. Well, like others I got Nancy Burton.
She tells me all about the position. They pay between $12 - $17 an hour depending on the company you are matched with. UPS delivers all the stuff to you on monday morning and then picks up the finished work on friday morning.
Then she tells me that there is a one time only cost of $67.95 plus $12. Shipping. She says "are you interested". I say well sure a company that I can work from home and make money with little to pay. But I don't really have the money right now to invest. But I will be calling back.
So, I think about it overnight and when I go to call back today guess what I get. Not that company at all. At least I got the name when I called yesterday and it was North Leap. Who is Nancy Burton? She is at extension 162 if anyone can figure out the number to call. All I know is I'm glad that I slept on it before acting.
I have never seen a scam actually in the buffalo job finder online. And then today I can't even find them. I'm wondering if it was in the paper. I'm gonna check with my mom who gets the buffalo news. Something seems fishy. And oviously if the number is false. Who can track it. It's one of those fly by night deals that changes in the morning.
