I hired Nationwide moving to move pack up my apartemnt, store the goods for 9 months and then move them south to Texas.
About a month ago I got a bill for storeage fees that I owed and I called the company to arrange payment. I was met with phone lines that were shut off. After sending emails and calling I finally spoke to a guy named Victor - he explained to me that the company was going out of buisness.
My initial contact Simona Brinkman (who I also see listed here in a complaint) was not with the company anymore. Victor ensured me that my furniture was safe and asked for my storeage fee. I asked to have my furniture moved ASAP and for a digital photo of my furniture. He sent me photos and told me a truck would bring my furniture to Houston in the coming week.
I sent him the balance of my storage fee and that same day all the phones were permanently disconnected and I no longer have any way to reach anyone from nationwide moving. Moreover, I have not heard from any trucks.
My furniture is nowhere to be found and I seem to have no recourse. I filed a grievence with the federal transport agency that supposedly governs these moves across state lines - but have not heard back.
Any advice or help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks
