I work for National Wholesale Liquidators located in maryland. I have worked there for a year now. I have not been impressed by the store in general. I work there as a part-time employee, i have worked there as a cashier, customer service and on the floor to. The store doesnt care about their employees as well as the customers. I have heard alot of complaints from my fellow employees and they are not so good. Recently the most shocking news. National Wholesale Liquidators are selling EXPIRED FOOD! Cosumers dont be ripped of by the cheap prices always check the expiration date. Another point Discrimination, National wholesale never hires White Americans or boys (Cashier Boys are thought to be thieves). I have seen such a discrimination go on. This White Lady was looking for a job but wasnt offered then afterward this African lasy comes in and asks for An application and is offered just because she is black afew minutes later she has been hired. Here is the funny thing but painful, Afew months ago we used to have black AMericans working at our NEw Carrollton Store, they got fired for no reason but the hidden reason is discrimination which they dont want people to hear.
Now the store is filled with Cameroons - West Africa, French speaking people, Ethopians and Indians. Majority of them cant even speak English nor read and write. So when a customers ask them a question you will find them being ignored easily and the customer is so pissed off and calls for the manager. Sometimes they start quarelling. The manager comes and asks what the matter is and the customer explains the story and out of blues the customer and the manager start arguing and the manager uses profunity language. Yes the Manager!
This is the store that doesnt respect employees. Since i have worked there i have asked for my raise but they lie to you that they will give it to you but until now they havent. We had a meeting and the managers were like they only offer raise if they want to. Another thing, This pregnant Lady works at the health and Beauty department and accidently had a cut on her finger and had to be rushed to the hospital by the ambulance. It was so serious, afew weeks later she got her bill. She brought it to the manager and the manager was like " I cant help you" Its not our problem. So she has to pay her bill. She only makes 7.00 dollars an hour. She has tried all she can but nothing has happeded. If you have any suggestions to this please contact me.
Customers also be aware never let you information open Checks and mostly the Credit card receipt have you drivers license number printed on it. It can be a first sign of identity theft. Also never have your socail security number printed on you check this informations are not kept confidential by National Wholesale Liquidators. I had a rumor from a customer that National wholesale Liquidators Sells peoples Credit card Infromation, Researsch about this info.
Products sold by national Liquidators are imitators products for example brand names like GAP, OlDNAVY, KMART, SEARS, PAYLESS are being sold there. But the customer thinks they bought it at a good price be careful. For example, the cute dress that you have just seen it is so cheap to be true, here it goes just look at the stitches and seams you will see something else the stiches ar coming out.
Also beware of the drinks that you buy they say Coke company but tastes nothing like the coke or pepsi company. Food products are stale. The bathroom conditions are so poor and dirty. Electonic products never stay for a long time. Moreover Managers know the truth about the store and told me that he never shops there because of poor quality and he was right. I once bought this pesticide control i had roaches in my house guess what when i opened the box and read the info i spotted the expiration date 2002 and that year was 2004. The have false signs do the customer can buy it. Be ware of what you but i am not saying that should shop there but be careful of the many ripp offs. Poor development and management.
