I have frequented the national wholesale liquidators store in lodi, new jersey many times. Bergen county has blue laws which means you cannot buy certain items on sundays including electronics and clothing items. I noticed that many people that were non white were purchasing such items without a problem so i attempted to buy some socks.
People in front of me who were obviously from india or pakistan purchased a number of clothing items without a problem. When it was my turn at the register, i was told i could not buy the socks because of the blue laws. When i stated how about the people that were just here, the cashier blatantly lied to me saying that they didn't buy any clothing! I then said well i guess i'm the wrong color and walked out.
