The Right Movers
(what wrong movers they are).. Ripoff scammers

This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. I was informed by the contracted driver, Hagi that this company is a huge scam and that they need to be shut down. So thus begins my quest to find anyone that has used them and get there stories. I have posted on so many sites about this company, because to be honest, after my things were delivered last Saturday (2/16/02) I was so sick.

My move began on the 13th of January in the morning, we were expecting the truck to come for the pick-up finally after fighting to get in touch with someone, I gave up til the morning. I called first thing Monday morning and was told the driver was in my area the day before but I never returned my calls (ha, my phone was with my all the time so that was a lie that I got a call) I was told that he was in Seattle and would come as soon as he could. Well a few hours later, Jon the driver calls me and says he is on his way. I get another call about 2 hours later and told that his truck has a flat tire and he is waiting for it to get fixed. So finally at 9:30 pm (yes at night that is) the driver of the truck, Jon had to have us meet him in order to show him how to get to the location of the pick-up. (Mind you it was about 25-30 degrees in WA State that night) The move took til 1 am Tuesday morning. We had to leave numerous things behind because this company sent a truck to us that was more than 3/4 full.

My husband and I left Tuesday morning, after trying to get enough sleep, for the long drive that was ahead of us. We had great weather all the way from WA to NJ, we arrived in NJ on Friday late afternoon. I called the company first thing Monday to find out where our things were at this point. I was told that the driver was picking them up and would be on his way in a day or 2 and I should have my stuff before the weekend. I called back on Friday and was told that the driver is stuck in Nebraska in snow and he's been there for 2 days. (My husband got on the net and checked and there was NOOOOOO snow anywhere in the country and all roads were open - so lie #1) I called him back on Monday and was told the driver was in Kentucky (I said why is he in KY he is making this an awful long trip going south instead of east, the guy said I don't know why. And when I said that I checked the weather on Nebraska and that there was no snow, the man snaps back, "My driver has no reason to lie to me") I waited a week before calling back, because I was mad. I called back and was given the drivers number.

I called the driver and he told me that he is a contracted driver and doesn't work directly for the company. He informed me that he had just picked my things up on Thursday (this is now Monday - 4 weeks into my move) and that he was in Oklahoma and headed to Chicago, then Maryland and then to NJ for me. The driver was nice and called me the next day to let me know that his drop in Chicago was taking longer than it should have (the person was not ready for the delivery) and that he would be a day or 2 late getting delivery to me. Finally I get a call 24 hours before hand stating that he is set to deliver on Saturday, as it was too late Friday. We set delivery time and finally got the belongings back. I showed the driver my paperwork and he said I have enough evidence to get this company closed down and to do it, if I am willing to take it as far as I need to. My husband sat with the check list, while I took the papers the driver gave me to go and make photo copies of them so I would have them as well as him. On the inventory sheet, he told me that what he has on the truck is what he has marked. (we only had 1 sheet and that equaled about 96 items and well there were many missing check marks on the paper) so as the things were brought in we checked them off and when he brought my mattress in (was wrapped in plastic even though I paid for a box) he said you have the bedframe, I looked at him and said you should have it. He told me he didn't see it, but would check again. He came in with the boxspring (again in plastic although I paid for a box) and he said there was no bed frame. I was ticked at this point beyond belief. I went in the room to look at the bed things and I was sick. My brand new headboard was scratched up on the back (was wrapped in a blanket, I had to explain how previous movers wrapped it to protect it, well these guys didn't wrap it right) my mattress was 1/4 wet and smelled, my boxspring was all dirt and had rips on the edge (this set was new) The white cover that was on the mattress was missing (probably they wanted to hide the evidence that they had it against the drity truck when they left our pick-up location. My husband's monitor for his computer was wrapped in our of their blankets and my husband just got it in the room and it's broken on the side (smashed in), boxes that the company put together on the spot, were opened up, all our boxes were smashed or opened.

I have called the company a few times now. I ask for the owner (he is on vacation and will be back on Monday) I called the other night and after giving my name was put on hold for more than 10 mins (I finally hung up) I called just a day later and asked for the owner or Mike and was told they were away from the office til Monday. So come Monday I will be calling them and not giving my name until I know they are in. I want some justice done. I have enough proof that I can take this to court if I have to.

If you dealt with this company, please let me know. We would like to get some complaints together from other people so if we take this to court we have more evidence. I am getting my DOT report ready as well to send out. We have to work together to get these scammers. File your consumer complaintss on them!
