On 10/15/04, I made a purchase of $213 at Sara's Selections Boutique (SSB). Sara personally assisted the sale & stated that clothing sizes & fit are all similar; therefore, no need to try on additional items. I made the purchase on my MC. Returning home, I tried on all items; the sizing & fit were not similar as suggested by Sara.
On 10/16/04, I returned all items, except the 1 original item tried on in store. Sara said she would make an exception & grant a store credit, for $172. Since this time, I tried unsuccessfully to find clothes or accessories to purchase due to sizing, quality issues, & questionable labels.
SSB is not listed as an authorized dealer for Coach, Louie Vuitton or Bebe. Yet products are sold as authentic branded items. Additionally, SSB does not advertise as a resale-clothing store, however some items are questionable. Observations are due to the numerous visits & close inspection while trying to make a purchase using the above store credit.
On 4/25/05, I requested the store credit transferred back to my MC, due to leaving the San Diego area in conjunction with a USN spouse deployment. No opportunity, catalog, or website to shop at SSB currently exists. Sara, the owner, stated that she would not credit my MC, & she had already made an exception in giving me a store credit.
Realizing through research, I was entitled to a full return credited to my MC on 10/16/04. As the owner, the policy is at her discretion & due to the unforeseen military obligations; she should have been willing to work with the situation.
These types of business practices are not becoming of a La Mesa Village Business Owner, unpatriotic to the large Military Population in the SD area, & unethical to purposely deceive clientele with knock-off merchandise.
After being driven to tears, by the Owner's unsupportive & unpatriotic ways, I purchased three gift certificates that I am now left to try to sell. I still believe by law I am entitled to a full refund.
