We had received an estimate for tree removal and trimming, but never actually ok'd all the work. We were told that someone would call to set up an appointment and to discuss what would be done. The next day a crew showed up unannounced. The work was not completed as promised, and caused damage to our lawn. They did a sloppy job of clean up. They were supposed to "limb" a tree (remove dead branches).
As they were getting ready to leave, we noticed that the largest dead branch was still on the tree. When asked to come back and finish the job, they got an attitude. Although they did take the branch down, they left their mess - as if to demonstrate in a very childish, unmbusinesslike fashion that they didn't appreciate our noticing that they had NOT completed the job they were here to do.
They left trash from their lunches which they ate while here "working" on our lawn. We told the owner that we did not want them to grind the stump for a cost of $100.00. The next day, once again unannounced, a Dane employee shows up to grind the stump.
Beware - the owner's word can not be trusted. All in all, this was a terrible experience. Also, our neighbor who got an estimate the same day, experienced similar problems - property damage, showing up unannouced, sloppy clean up...
