In March of this year, I was job searching on Monster.com and saw that this company, Talent Images, was looking for affiliates to start their own home-based business. The objective was to scout for models, musicians and actors to enroll on their on-line service so they can be "discovered" by the 5,000 angencies that use their service.
Things seemed legit, enough. I was enrolling new clients and investing my own money towards local marketing, and in frequent contact with my "Regional Director" (the person who 'takes care of all your needs') back in their Miami HQ. Then all contact stopped last Friday, April 8th.
No one is answering the main line, my clients are complaning they cannot speak to a live person. The remaining leads I purchased (Yes! Purchased for $4 per!) came to a hault. My RD sent an email just this morning (April 15th) stating that due to a difference of opinion, he is no longer working for them. This makes me wonder if the RDs were also involved with this big scam.
Bottom line is you need to be extremely leary of any "Talent Scout" or talent agent opportunity. I am pursuing every avenue to not let them get away with this.
If you'd like to check out what they're (or were) advertising, go to their website, it's www.talentimages.com. Look under the Affiliate Program.
