Omg!!! I only just found our about this tonight. The only reason I know was because I just sign up my son for a contest and was curious what else was out there. I did a search for Child Modeling and this report came up!
I had my doubts about Kids.com for awhile but didn't think there was anything to be done. I signed up my son when he was 4 months old. He is now 2 1/2 and I have only ever received the notices to get more pictures done. I have done the pictures 3 times so far at $20 each.
When we first sign him up I had called a couple times to find out when we would be getting assignments. As most of us have, i get compliments all the time about my son and he is a little ham. I know he would love this lifestyle, so I hung in there, hoping.
Every time I called I asked for the person who signed us up and they would never let me talk to him. They would only say that i have cute son i should hear from someone soon but to remember it takes time. They would also say to be sure that I keep up with his pictures.
I never heard anything so I just kind of gave up figuring maybe this was not the right thing to do for my son. I feel so stupid that I was pulled into this. I am just glad that my son knows nothing about it. If he did he would be so disappointed.
I would love to know how I can get my money back or some of it and I want them brought down. I can't believe that people would use a parent's love for their child against them like this.
I would also like to know how to find a legit source to find an agent for my son it any one knows. My heart goes out to everyone who has found themselves in my situation. Worse yet I told 2 of my friends to talk their kids to Kids.com and they did. Now I have had to tell them it is a scam!
There are 3 mothers here in IL prepared to do what it takes to bring Kids.com Down!!!
