Ripoff dishonest untolerable false slogans

What happened to Sears "Satisfaction Guaranteed Or Your Money Back" policy? Does it appear on thier receipts just to take up space?

My husband and I bought a pressure washer knowing we had upcoming projects. When purchased we were told sears had a 90 day return policy on nonelectronic mechandise. A month after we bought it we hooked it up and tried it out. It was not powerful enough for our project. We loaded it up and my husband went to store to return it. Not knowing what size pressure washer we needed he wanted our money back untill we could figure it out. We had everything that came with it, including the bottle of oil. We had the receipt wish says "Please Retain This Receipt to receive a refund in the form of your original payment". When my husband carried it back, he was told that they do not give refunds for ANYTHING. They were very rude and said they would have a repairman look at it, but that was all they would do for us. It is new. There is nothing wrong with it.

We contacted their national customer service department. They contacted the store. The store refused to refund our money. The customer service representative contacted a store that is over 30 miles away to see if we could return it there. The store that is over 30 miles away contacted us and said that we had 90 days from the date of purchase and that the Ruston store was suppose to give us a refund no matter the reason for the return. He told us to call the National Customer Service Department back and find out why they were not holding up their end of the deal.

So we called back. Of course we get somebody different than who we had talked to earlier. Explained eveything that had happened. She put us on hold and called the Ruston Sears Store. When she came back on the line she said that she had spoke to the Ruston Sears Manager and that we was very rude and ugly to her. She said that she was filing a report to send to the district manager and assured us that we will have a full refund. The District Manager is suppose to contact us within 48 business hours. She scheaduled a follow up with us for one week later. She also assigned us a case number.

Now we have a pressure washer we can't use and get to play the waiting game. Will update when I hear something from them.
