I went to Stereo1 on 2/14/05 looking for a car alarm. I was approached by a guy working there and I asked his opinion on the type of alarm I should get. I told him that I wanted to take guard my car against thieves and he used this knowledge to decieve me.
We looked at a couple of models and finally I asked him about the model that i wanted. It was called a Viper 350 we talked about it and looked at another model but I wanted the Viper and we agreed on a price of $406.00. It was a done deal until he said he wanted to show me something even better than the Viper and it had more functions because he said he knew that I wanted to guard my car.
The alarm in question is called the Astra 777 and the sales guy wanted the same price for it as the Viper 350 which was $406.00. I trusted the sales guy that he wouldn't actually rip me off because the company has been around for a while. I agreed on it and the alarm was installed.
I soon found out later that the alarm that was installed on my car actually only costs around $79.00. So I figured that I just paid over 300 dollars for installation! I paid $406.00 for such a cheap alarm. The sales guy knew this right from the beginning and he scammed me into buying the Astra 777 when I wanted the much better Viper alarm.
