When AT&T/Cingular merged I started have difficulties with a phone that had been purchased a few months earlier. This phone was replaced because I was having difficulties with the current model I was using (according to the at&t rep).
In Nov. My calls started being interrupted by the phone disconnecting. Whether it be 2 seconds or 2 minutes on the phone I would lose whoever was on the other end. I also would not receive calls, they would automatically go to voicemail.
I called customer service both 611 and on the land line. I was told first the towers were being transferred over and it would fix itself within 72 hours. When this didn't work and continued I called again. I was told to take out the battery and wait 24 hours. I did and it didn't work. I was then told that I would need to replace my phone for a newer model.
This is a new phone and I have 14 mos. Left on my contract! I was informed I could purchase a new updated phone and a new contract for an additional 2 yrs. We have 4 phones all doing the same thing and the other 3 are updated!
I have spoke to customer service, technical support and in store service and all claim the contract I signed did not guarantee 100% service. I signed a 2 year contract to receive adequate service not 25% service and an attitude that this is my fault.
