Like I have already read on here, I too have a huge complaint about the so called Annapolis Agency/Motion Pictures/KidzintheBiz or whatever they are calling themselves today.
After being one of the many suckers that showed up at one of their open calls I was put in a room with Richard (you can find many interesting things about him in the other reports on here)... Trying to sell me many things they offer such as comp cards, headshots, website promotion etc... He finally suckered me into purchasing website promotion for $200. After almost two months of not showing up on the website I tried to call them, left emails, left messages, etc and no one would ever return my calls.
So then I reported them to BBB, FTC, etc... After filing those reports what do you know, all of the sudden I show up on their website. Ok fine at this point I realize I was ripped off, being on their website will do me NO good and get me NO work but I was willing to cut the losses and lose my $200 and say it was a lesson learned not to associate with these kinds of agencies. Then all of the sudden one day (last night) I saw they had charged my debit card OVER $500 for no reason.
I have not seen nor heard from them since I left their office that day two months ago and they go ahead and charge me over $500 for absolutely nothing. After reading other reports on here I see I am far from the only one that this has happened too and something MUST be done to prevent these demons from doing this to anyone else.
I have filed a dispute with my credit card which is being taken care of, cancelled my credit card so they will not be able to do that anymore, contacted my lawyer who is ready to take action if needed and am currently contacting the Attorney General so hopefully they will help me and help the many others that this awful horrible agency has scammed. Please anyone and everyone else that has had this happen to them or something similar from this agency, keep filing reports and contacting the Attorney General and whomever else you can to STOP THIS INSANITY!!!
