Water softner - filtration ripoffs. Happy to take your money, but not much else

Let it be known that this Culligan dealer is Happy to take your money, but not much else. I purchased the works Water softner and reverse osmosis systems) for my house a few years back and as long as I was making payments if I had a problem, they would eventually come work on the system though their work was sloppy/messy They replaced a salt tank that had developed a leak and in the process spilled and left salty water that coverfed atleast a 6'x6' area tracking it down the hall up the stairs and accross my carpet, then had the nerve to send me a bill! (The work was covered under warranty).

After several weeks and about a dozen phone calls, they sent someone back to clean up (whats the point by then) and erased the charges. After I made my last payment on the system, I called numerous times to schedule servicing. Almost a year later they finally showed up, but insisted there was no record of our warranty or the purchase of a system through them. They checked the system and replaced a worn valve and promptly presented me with a bill for $369.00, several phone calls later they agreed to bill me later giving me time to find my warranty paperwork, etc (the valve should have been covered per my warranty).

Even though I produced the paperwork, They refused to recognize it because the culligan dealer I bought my system through had been absorbed (closed/moved?) by the one that came out to do the wokk. Eventually I paid using a Visa Debit card (for my checking acct. A very big mistake) I didn't want any late payments or bad marks on my credit report.

A few days later I get a non sufficient funds letter from my bank saying that we were over drawn. Come to find out that Culligan had helped themselves to $838.16 instead of $369.08. This resulted in an over drawn account, NSF charges from the bank and two businesses whose check couldn't clear bvecause of culligan.

About a month after the fiasco, Culligan finally refunded my $369.08, but never provided me with a letter (as I requested) explaining their error so I could get the NSF charges corrected. This is still unresolved... Don't do business with this place and don't use your Debit card to make payments!!!
