12-4. Called store to see if they had gotten "zoomer" (a robotic dog toy) in stock yet. Employee, angel answers; could barely understand what she said. I asked my question. I was told and I quote "we ain't got dat. It's outta stock" and she hangs up! I was a mile or less from the store and didn't trust that "they ain't got dat" so I went in. We ha been checking with the store for this toy so I knew exactly where the display was. There were several on the shelf. I grabbed one, made my way to register carefully avoiding the toys lying on the floor in various places, stood in line (one of only TWO) lines that were open; paid for my grand daughters zoomed. Cashier was great! I asked who the manager is, was told ms. Diane and I could find her at customer service. I waited in yet another line, while a few employees stood talking to each other. Finally got my turn. I confirmed " are you the manager?" "Yeah I'm assistant manager." Told her my story and the rude and unmotivated employee on the phone, angel. Picked up my bag showing I had just bought one. Diane replies well we just put returns back. I said you had 10 returns on zoomers within 10 min. She replies "yep." I shook my head, commented that maybe she is the reason the store is in disarray and employees are socializing, lines are long because there's 2 lanes open and her employees feel they can be rude to the customers. I told her I was calling corporate and this was unacceptable. She smiles real big and smug and says "Ooo-K have a nice day. Unbelievable! I worked all day, paid 90.09 for one toy (that's 9 hours of work for me) and I can't get someone to help me while I'm spending money so they can have a job; to help a company that doesn't require their employees to treat customers with respect? I called corporate and waiting for response. Eager to see what will be done about the 2 employees and how bad toys r us wants my business. I'm so mad about this. I want to take the toy back and tell my grand daughter Santa didn't have anymore. Boy am I steaming mad. I'm struggling to buy gifts. I would like a thank you for your business this keeping my company a float so my sorry butt can have a job I don't appreciate! Just don't know if ill go back. Can't really afford their prices anyway!
