There are a few things I would like to list here about experiances I have had with the Alva Wal-Mart, most of my visits to this store have been pleasant durring the day, but at night its just like the old saying "the difference between night and day". My good experiances durring the day are bland, and most of the time its busy and the normal way to shop.
My Experiance last night takes the cake!
A new expansion for the sims 3 was set for public release on Oct 22. I have always purchased new sims expantions on the date for release. So me and my wife get to the store and I ask the only person that was working up front and she was a very nice lady, told her why I was there and what game I needed. She got on her CB and told the overnight stock that we needed a copy of the sims 3 into the future, and that the people would meet him in the electronics dept. When we got to the electronics dept. A man came out and said he couldn't find it. We told him thats no problem we would wait until he did.
He went to the back again for about 1 miniute, came back and said he still couldn't find it and asked us if we were sure that it was in the store. He made me use my phone to check wal-mart online and see. It just said "sipping on the 22" he told me they probably didn't have it. I knew he just didn't want to look anymore. I have worked at walmart before overnight and told him it was probably still on a palet. He didn't budge and began to tell my wife that he didn't know what to tell us repeatedly. Then started to kind of argue with us. And after about the 5th time of hearing him frustratedly tell my wife he didn't know what to tell us I said. Ok we can just come back later. Me and my wife had a couple of other items to take to check out. So we were standing there checking our items out at self checkout and the guy comes up again and starts up again telling us more crap about he doesn't think it is there and doesn't know what to tell us again..??!!?? He really just did that?? Wtf? Why is this guy being so confrontational! Anyways. I came back at 7am and got the game off the shelf. It was on a pallet in the back just like I said.
If the guy had been properly trained on what to do, this could have avoided a very negative experiance. Next time I'll just pre-order from game stop.
