NOT a ripoff, but clumsy customer service.internet

Hello,

I came here to report cig4u.com as a ripoff, because I placed an order there on Monday, December 13, and paid extra for expidited shipping. About the time I was expecting delivery, I recieved this email:

"With reference to your recent order CXXXXXXB, we regret to inform you that due to logistical problems we were required to cancel your order part of your order. We have arranged full refund for the following
items:

6 Marlboro Lights Phil

If you still wish to receive these items, please visit our web site again and place a new order. Many apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We stand at your service 24 hours a day (1-678-318-3688)."

So I checked my credit card account, and saw only the debit from their charge. I tried calling, many (like, DOZENS of times, only busy signal). I emailed about this, and got another email:

"We are currently experiencing some delays of shipments, due to the run up to the Holiday Season.in addition, we have experienced delivery difficulties with a large amount of our shipments due to some mail inspections carried out at JFK Airport. We request that you bare with us, and accept our assurance that they will receive their order soon. Though we guarantee delivery within 21 days, during this busy time many orders do not arrive within this period, and may take over 30 days and longer. If, however, your order fails to arrive, we will, of course, re-ship it or arrange for full refund of items not received. However, our policy is not to refund until 60 days from order date, as in many cases orders have arrived within this period.

We stand at your service 24 hours a day (Call now 1-678-318-3688)."

Which started getting me worried, as it was obviously a form letter, was not really applicable to my situation (they cancelled it, not me), I was unable to get through via phone, when emailing to links from their web site was getting undeliverable auto responses ('no such user' or 'mailbox full'), etc. So I thought I'd wait until after the holidays to persue it.

Then, I began to put an email together, to send to cig4u demanding a refund, etc. (I was getting hot under the collar at this point), but before I sent it I checked my credit account one last time, and found their credit back for the full amount. I was relieved to see it.

In the past, I have placed several substantial orders with cig4u, and have always recieved all my orders in full, if not very quickly. This incident shows me that at least they are legitimate, and not defrauding people, but they have communication and service issues they need to address.

I will do business with them again, provided I can actually contact somebody in person and get answers. They need to beef up phone service, fix their web site (it's horribly buggy right now, forms that don't work correctly, email links to invalid email addresses, etc...), and beef up their email service to allow more inbox space.
