On Nov. 7 I purchased a can of Del Monte GreenPepper and mushroom spagetti sauce and prepared it on Nov. 15 for a Birthday dinner and found a piece of metal like a part off a machine in the sauce when I put it on my plate and Del Monte wrote me a letter and said there was no way it could have been in the can because the piece of metal could not go through there fillers but it looks like a part off the machinery
They make me sound like I have made up the story but I have 3 wittnesses to finding the metal
They stated that even though the piece of metal was in the can it would have been sterile
They stated the piece of metal was not in the can
They have offered to give me a good will gesture of $15
At my request they returned the piece of metal to me
The piece of metal has a name on it and they dispute that it was part of there machinery
The code on the can lid was1DM426G4
If there was a piece in my can how many more cans had metal in it?
