I was contacted on my cell phone and offered what sounded like a great offer. I was "guranteed" a credit card with a $2000.00 limit, the only catch was I had to pay $299.00. I hesitated about paying that much money, but was told that other customers pay themselves back when they recieve the card. I asked several times about the credit limit and approval and was given the same answer - $2000.00. I was also told I could call back and cancel, when I did I was told I was to late.
I recieved my package on the latest possible day they gave me via regular mail. I was told several times that the package would be sent FedEx. To my suprise what I received was not what I was expecting. I found an application for a loadable credit card and coupons. The other suprise was I had to pay an activation fee (which I was not told about)
I immediately called to complain and see about a refund. I was given the run around, and told that they are a customer service center, and not the company. I was told they would file an investigation, and to call back in 7 - 8 business days to check the status. I called back and complained again explaining that this is not what I agreed on, and that they were fraudulant. I was then told a refund request would be submitted and I would know in 7 days. I called for the third time and was told I was denied, but they would but in another request with more information. This time they only needed 2 days. Of Course I was denied again.
Each time I called I asked to hear the tape and to speak with a supervisor, but they never played it for me nor did I speak to a supervisor. It was also explained that they only record the end of the confirmation, and not the "fabulous offer" I feel really foolish to have fallen for their scam, and will continue to fight for my refund.
