My story began in February when accepted an offer for what appeared to be a good deal through my credit union for a cellular phone. I was a bit leary, but the sales rep. Was a very kind man who (although busy) seemed to be very knowledgable. Even after the problems began he seemed receptive and instructed me how to correct the billing errors get what was promised in the contract, how could I lose?

My attempts to reach someone at technical support and customer service to fix these problem became a very time consuming and horrific experience. The staff was either rude and simply untrained to help me. I spent literally hours on hold. To verify this I began making the calls from my cell phone. Finally I called the sales rep. Who advised me to fax a copy of my contract which I did. Still no response. So two months later I faxed it again to a gal who said there was no record of the previous fax. She also told me that it was too bad about my not receiving the features promised, however, she could not issue a credit of any sort. She advised me not to pay a bill until it was corrected.

Finally I called a billing number nearly one year after the start of my contract. What is wrong with these people... A year without a payment... Surely someone would call me! After approximately one hour on the phone, we seemed to clear up most of the problems, or so I thought. Exhausted, I finally paid for a years worth of service fearing that they might try and harm my credit.

Several credits were issued but still when I could get service, the features (call waiting, etc. Were not there. So I paid what they said I owed along with a note stating my problems. Still no response.

A month or so later of incorrect bills and finally I received a letter stating that they were switching billing software and to bear with them. Three months passed and I was still being billed incorrectly. Finally on May 3, I called to give them notice that I would be changing to Verizon and that they should dicontinue my service. The call was simple and I was assured that it was all taken care of. This should have been my first clue.

On October 24, after receiving several more billed, I called again to remind them of my call in May. The gal was very rude, so I asked to speak with her superior. She advised me that it was basically to bad and that if I chose to pursuit the issue I should just call their corporate offices.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get rid of this mess???
My credit is perfect except for this fiasco.in order for me to refinance my house so that I may make some home improvements, I need great credit to get the rate I want. This isn't going to happen with this hanging out there!!!
