Advanced Move Aaa Van Line/ben Cohen
Ripped off by advanced move aaa van line ben cohen moving systems scandel & fraud

I contacted advanced move, suzanne schwedhelm for an estimate of moving my small, 1 bedroom/studio apartment from michigan to maine.

My things were in storage in michigan & i was in maine already. I received a quote $1050.00.

I submitted $100.00 deposit on my credit card and arranged for my friend to be at the storage site at time of pick-up at 3pm on october 23.

The drivers called her by cell phone @ noon wanting to meet her.

She explained that she worked until 3pm & that was the prearranged time.

They were movers from a different company, aaa van line, which i was not aware of.

They asked for directions to the storage site & stated they would wee her at 3pm.

She showed up at 3pm. The moving drivers had not shown up at 4:15pm.

I called the cell phone of the drivers & they stated they were on there way.

I gave directions again. They showed up at 4:45pm, an hour & 45 min late.

My friend completed the contract with my name, maine phone number, and maine address in many places on the contract.

The number was the same from which i contact the van drivers.

She gave them a personal check for $550.00. They used packing items whch they stated there would be no charge.

They stated they would mail me a copy of the contract.

She signed the sheet that stated my furniture had no damage.

The drivers stated they did not know when i would receive delivery.

They stated i need to contact the company. My friend waited they were almost done loading & left.

The drivers had her cell phone number, her home phone number, and home address.

I contacted suzanne schwedhelm, at advanced move.

She stated i would receive delivery in 7-10 days, and i would receive 48 hours notice before delivery.

After trying several times by email& phone message, i reached ms. Schwedhelm by phone on november 6.

This was 7-10 days after expected delivery date & had not been contacted.

She passed me to the dispatcher who claimed to have no information regarding me and he gave me a number for aaa van line.

I spoke to the dispatcher, mr. Ben cohen. He stated he had no phone number to contact me or the address of my home. This was false.

He stated he could deliver in 5 days but he needed $1700. Oo cash at time of delivery.

This total bill was more than double the original estimate.

I requested he mail me a copy of the contract i never received by mail.

He stated he would fax it. I never received it,

He said he would fax it again. I never received it, again.

The same happen again. He stated he would mail it, the fax machine was broken and that he did not have this information in the office that a person had to go to the storage site. I never received it either way.

He stated my delivery date would be november 14, or 15.

On november 15, i had not had any contact from the drivers.

I contact mr. Cohen and he gave me the phone number of the drivers.

He stated the truck had broken down in virginia. I contacted them and got delivery of the items on the evening of november 19, almost one month after the pickup date.

I asked a city police officer to be present.

I needed to give the drivers 1274.00 before they were delivered.

On the contract, i was charged for packing materials. My furniture was not padded & wrapped as stated on my original estimate.

My furniture was horribly nicked, had a huge puddle of white paint on a table top, a leg was broken from a rocker., etc.

The descriptive inventory, now, denoted damaged furniture upon pickup.

On december 13, i sent a letter denoting my complaints with a request for 50% refund of total charges.

I asked to receive a response within 30 days. 6 weeks later, i have not received a response.

I recently filed a complaint with better business bureau, and the attorney general.
