I'm a gal who absolutely LOVED my black short sleeve button front rayon classic look shirts I bot from Walmart soooooo many times. I likely have had at least 55 of them.in fact every season I would make the effort to get to them quickly such that I could buy all the extra larges I could get my hands on. I am now down to patching the last ones of my stash... Because for a couple of years now Walmart is carrying George &which is suppose to be the same thing. It is a swell brand for many things, but NOT THESE SHIRTS. Puritans were the perfect weight for summer... And in the winter I wore them under every winter item because the rayon breathes way better than cotton for me, and once you wear a shirt that drapes like these do, nothing else really delivers the entire simple yet wonderful laizez-faire experience. (Some years Walmart has men's Hawaiian shirts out of rayon, really big, and if they're pretty, I buy all those too, but they aren't made by Puritan that I remember... But same classic style)
I was spurred to write this while still forlornly trying to find "MY SHIRTS" - when I saw another review about the same Puritan brand. Thanks to that reviewer from me!!!
i can't properly do your happy/? Face rating because puritan's product was a euphoric smile, yet walmart gets the most forlorn face for no longer having them.
what i want is for walmart to get back in these 3x puritan button front black shirts. I MET PLENTY OF OTHER SHOPPERS THAT WERE ALSO BOOHOOING ABOUT the PURITAN brand being GONE everytime I would speak up and ask the clerks when the Puritans were going to arrive.in fact, I just remembered that the spiked elastic waist pants that I also use to buy a "ton" of were Puritan as well. Gobs of your shoppers also chimed in everytime I would be there and beg for them to get Puritan back. Even your employees were morose about that and other popular brands being displaced by "junk".
So there you have it. So many of us think your newer products are severely inferior... And don't buy them. I know George bills themselves as being "hip"... And they kinda are, but I spent in the neighborhood of 300-500 dollars a year on Puritan, and on George now, maybe 5 dollars. I aabsolutely hate wearing severely shredding puritans... BUT I have not been able to locate any comparable ones, as I know precisely what works for me.
