Ripoff misleading advertisement spam marketing scam billing

We are just starting to look at real estate information, as we would like to buy a house in some distant future. We did not intend in the slightest to buy any realtor services.

I got a spam letter from Bargain.com site offering a 30-day's free membership. Though I usually do not pay attention to spam messages, I wanted to look at some infomation regarding forclusures. I registered at their site. They take the credit card information right away to charge the customer after a free period expiration. I set the reminder for myself to cancel the supscription before the free period expires - November 20.

My mistake was not to have checked all their contract and other fine print information. Today, I noticed on their site that their free period is just 7 days, after which they automatically charge the customer in the amount $9.95/week, however for the entire month in advance. So on November 04 they charged my card for $39.80.

Another trick about their services: You can register your membership online. However you cannot cancel it online. It can be done by telephone only. To reach their customer service on the phone happened to be a great problem. Finally I cancelled my subscription. But, of course, they refused to refund me for the amount, I didn't intend to spend at all.

I think that the Bargain Network, Inc. Uses dishonest and misleading advertisement and marketing methods.
