RunLocal Locksmith is dishonest and big scamers, a bait and switch operation. They use unlicensed contractors. They should not be allowed to continue their scams in this city or anywhere for that matter. This is the worst experience I've ever had from a service provider of any type. We called them on Sat. 01/12 to come and unlock the door to our business. Told us it was $15.00 service call to send someone out and it would be around $25.00 to pop the lock and they would have him on
site within 30 minutes after we gave them the address. The technician called around 45 minutes later and showed up another 45 minutes after he called. Every time we called him he would say he is only a few minutes away. When he arrived, no apology was offered for being late. No sign on the van. Then he quoted us a the astronomical price of $189.00 to pop the lock which took him all of less than 10 minutes. Talk about taking advantage of a situation. The employees present who had been waiting for
him for an hour and a half accepted the gouging only in order to not have to wait for another hour an and a half for another locksmith. When he presented the final invoice he added an additional $65.00 in labor to the original $189 charge that involved nothing more than labor to pick the lock. It is unbelievable that these people are allowed to conduct business in San Francisco. Horrible Scam.
