This all started several months ago. These people from Magazine Services (that's what they called themselves.) called and asked if I would be interested in purchasing some magazines. I thought what would be the harm in that. Little did I know that that wouldn't be the end of my hassle.
I gave them my debit card information (which deducts from my checking account) and was promised that I would get my magazines in a certain amount of time. Of course I didn't. To this date I have not received one magazine from these con artists. They keep on telling me that I will get them in so and so time and of course I HAVE NOT. I had the bank cut up my debit card once and get a replacement card.
In the beginning they would call me two or three times a day claiming that they were cut off and need to go over this tedious information again and again. Frankly I was getting tired of this. They call from different numbers trying to throw you off and keep you from figuring out where they are actually calling from (which I still don't know).
I got a piece of mail from Nadine Media located in Massena, NY telling me to make payment arrangements to my account. Earlier I got something from Magazine Services in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. When I had my debit card cut up the first time I got a threatening phone call from someone threatening to turn me into the credit agency if I didn't pay so and so amount. They also told me that my credit would be affected and went into a spiel about the consequences. I basically gave in (what else could I do?).
That's when I went to this girl that works at a Check into Cash location and she said that I was being ripped off. She called this guy that basically threatened me and basically told him that they need to leave me alone and that I have not been receiving these magazines. The guy was rude to her too as well (I think his name was Ryan.) After that they put the money back into my account.
I have basically tried to avoid these people but today they called and said that I need to get caught up and that they didn't have my updated credit card information on file. I gave them my information because I didn't want any trouble but I am going to see my friend at Check into Cash and see what else can be done about this.
I am getting tired of this. I work hard for my money and I am sure that these people at Nadine Media USA or whatever they call themselves haven't worked an honest day in their lives. They just sit there and try to think up ways to cheat you out of your money.
