In March I recived a call from American Choice Readers soliciting magazine subscriptions. I listened to her sales pitch
and her tell me that if I signed up that my name would be put into a drawing for $1 million which will be announced in July. I told her that I was interested but I also told her that at anytime I could no longer afford to keep recieving magazines that I held the right to cancel at anytime. I told her this 3 times during our conversation.
I assumed all terms were accepted by this lady because she processed my order.
I recieved magazines for approzimately 3 months and made payments until I financially could no longer. I informed the American Choice Readers that I had to cancel but they continued to send me magazines regardless of what I said. I paid for all of the magazines I kept and sent all the other magazines back. I have been receiving magazines untilas recently as 2 weeks ago. They now claim I owe $522.17.
Since my cancelation I have been receiving phone messages from e them. I tried twice to call back but was put on hold.
I received a call on November 4 from a collection agency who stated that if I refused to pay that money that it would go on my credit report then to American Choice Readers attorney.
On November 6 I receive a letter from American Choice Readers confirming what the collection agency told me.
