After being a Gamefly customer a year, I received an E-mail that they cancelled my membership. I had to search the internet for a number to call only to speak to someone who was aggravated with my questions. I asked for a number to the corporate office or someone in charge but was told no. I said ""seriously, don't u have a number for whoever writes your checks?" USELESS! I have 4 kids whose dad took off 9 years ago. They love video games and are so disappointed that their membership is cancelled and there's nothing I can do to keep it. When I became a customer a year ago I told them I don't have a credit card but I have a Visa Debit card from Chase that the government issues for their monthly child support to be deposited on. I was told that was fine so I joined and they charged my card every month, no problems. Now they say they don't accept my card because they consider it as a prepaid card, and I can use it to purchase games with them but not pay my subscription. I think it's crazy, its guaranteed income for several years. But they accept debit cards from normal checking accounts, which is riskier if people overdraft or close their account. My card is not a prepaid card that you get at a gas station and it can't bounce cuz it doesn't allow you to spend more than the amount in the account. I even offered to pay ahead or extra as a deposit, any way to remain a customer, but they don't care. For my kids sake they shouldn't have let us join to begin with.
