Tropicana Casino
Has a reputation for making winning wallets disappear. From the mouth of there police department

My names is Christopher *. I visited the Tropicana Casino on February 24th into the 25th. I I had a very good night and accumulated well over $2200. At one point during the night I asked their security if they minded reviewing a recording of me at a table for I thought maybe a local player might of taken on accident. Without any hesitation the security personnel had an answer for me within 15 minutes (all on file). After pleading with them for a room because I was getting tired. It was now 9:30am in the morning.

Within minutes I noticed my wallet was missing. I immediately went up to the security guard closest to me and made him aware of the issue (on file). Well, this time it was handled much differently then the time before. He directed me to a security desk and they told me some guy bob was handling it to sit in a closed off area. After an hour and a half I became very concerned so I went back up to the security desk and they directed me to the atlantic city police department. After shortly arriving there I was made aware of similar situations that have occurred in their casino.

When i asked them to pull the recording the first time they told me exactly what table i was at and how much i bet etc, now it seemed as if i was getting the run arround. With the surveillance system in place watching everyones every move i felt as if they made it seem i was in the only "blind spot" After being directed back to the casino by the police around 1130am i went back up to the security desk hopeful they had some information on my missing wallet. I was directed back to the waiting area for another 2 hours. I finally was greated by a gentlemen named tom.

I believe he is one of the security managers. He basically blamed it on my own negligence and he was trying his best to review the tape in a timely fashion. I have never lost a wallet neverless one with over $2000 in my life and i honestly feel i was pick pocketed or taken by one of the dealers. With the amount of security guards in your casino and your attention on winners like myself on this night i expected much more concern and action then i received. If it takes you 4 hours to review a tape of a lost wallet of one of your big winners for the night.

You either dont want it recovered or know where it is. I had exactly $2150 in my wallet and i know tropicana knows because i was giving my rewards card with every new seat i took at a table. Now its 2:30pm Im completely exhausted of being given the run around. I called tom the securitys manager and he tells me in the four hours since I reported the incident he has reviewed exactly ten-seconds of film and has no idea where my wallet is. I was smart enough to record the conversation and then was told hes going to find the "suspect".

So after he said he has no idea where the wallet is, he then brought up a suspect? The whole morning has really made me feel as if I was scammed by this casino. If the situation was handled properly I honestly feel id have my wallet back. It was handled the way it was because they didnt care. I have reports filed @ the tropicana now and I was told by tom to give him a call on tuesday? Protect their gamblers and handle these types of situations with urgent care i honestly feel like security could care less. I have absolutely no idea what to do or where to go from here.

I honestly feel this situation could of been handled in a more urgent fashion that could of resulted in my wallet being recovered.instead it took 4-5 hours to be told he only reviewed 10 seconds of tape? That is completely unacceptable for such a professinal establishmentThis wasnt the first time a successful gamblers wallet went mysteriously missing and was handled with such negligence and zero urgency. I am contacting other gamblers with similar situations and entertaining a class action suit. If you have been through a similar situation and would like me to explain to you your options please contact me at. Thanks for listening
