Claimed that I did not return movies that I had rented and returned prior to them going out of business, they sent me straight to collection

I borrowed 2 movies from Hollywood Video locatedat FM 78 andWalzem Rd, San Antonio, TX. I kept the movies for about 5 days, and returned them well before the do dateinside the store. I did not realize that the store would be going out of business. I actually had a 3-5 video credit on my account that I never got to use. I was never contacted by phone, mail or email by any entity of Hollywood Video that I was delingquent returning movies, and that is, because I never was. The only way I learned of the discrepancy in their records is, I received word that I had a collection on my credit report, and it was from Hollywood Video while trying to clear my credit to buy a home. I went online to a business called NCS Recovery who was identified at the collector for Hollywood, and tried to state my case, but they in fact are not the collection agency for Hollywood. I need to find out who I can resolve this issue with fast, or I may never get into my new home.
