I purchased Chicago Blackhawks tickets from Joey and we both signed a contract at the time. Joey told me he needed the money up front to pay the guy that had the tickets, being naive, I gave him a check and he cashed it. My family and I were walking the Avon Breast Cancer walk and Joey said he would meet up with us to drop off the tickets. He never showed up with the tickets and he said the man he was purchasing them from kept procrastinating. Joey later told us he would bring the tickets to our hotel, but he never showed up. We called him numerous times and he answered the phone very drunk and said he would meet us in an hour... He never showed. Joey then texted me the next morning and said he was sorry for his no show last night, but he was drunk and got into a fight with his girlfriend and wanted to meet us at Starbucks at noon to deliver the tickets. We got to Starbucks at 11:30 AM and waited an hour then left. He never showed and he will NOT answer my calls or my text messages.
I have a contract for the tickets that states if he does not deliver the merchandise I am entitled to sue him, in which he has to pay double of what I paid. Stupid me also bought BEARS tickets from Joey and I had to give half in order to secure the tickets. I know that I will never see the tickets. I have signed contracts from Joey and I hope someone can help me get my money back. It is a crying shame that we had to disrupt out walk for Cancer to be stood up from this guy. I hope my case helps others out there.
