Hypocrites Tout Ripoff Trips to Child Actors

Nonprofit BizParentz Foundation http://www.bizparentz.org doesn't practice what it preaches. A lot of us who trusted them are MAD AS HELL! Turns out they are hypocrites.

This group, which solicits money purporting to work on behalf of young actors and their families, doesn't like to tell you it endorsed and participated in an expensive Young Hollywood Cruise last June to the Caribbean that seemed to be EXACTLY what BizParentz preaches against. See for yourself at http://www.pr.com/press-release/65784.

The cruise touted itself as an opportunity for young actors and their families looking to break into the entertainment industry. One of the big names touted as a top Disney casting director turns out to be a casting associate who didn't even work for Disney. This also suggests someone at Disney was endorsing this, which they weren't.in fact, this is EXACTLY what BizParentz criticizes others for.

How much would it have cost a parent to go on the BizParentz-endorsed cruise? Do the math.

Start with Prices begin at $999 per person (based on double occupancy). Then figure that no kid would go alone, so add one parent and you are at 2 Grand. Then add Dad and you are at 3 Grand, siblings and you are at 4,5 or 6 Grand just for the cruise alone.

That's just for the cheapest, lowest grade interior cabin. More comfortable cabins can cost much as $1,999 per person. And, NONE OF THIS included the family air fare to Miami, souvenirs and lots of other miscellaneous expenses. So any family looking to break into the industry would have found itself out thousands and thousands of dollars.

So at the end of the day, we are talking $ for a 7-day event for young actors looking to break into the industry that BizParentz was fine with endorsing and participating in.

We'd love to know how much BizParentz was paid for this, where the money went and any freebies it accepted. When did BizParentz put its integrity up for sale? Isn't BizParentz nonprofit? Those of us who have trusted BizParents in the past have a right to know.
