Albert Bowman (Big Al) has a very long reputation of libel and slander that goes back at least 17 years. Anyone in Los Angeles who knows or has ever dealt the Bowman acknowledges that he is one of the most hated individuals in the Entertainment Industry. While I was CEO of LA Entertainment Works, Inc. It only took several weeks in dealing with him to realize his total disregard for contracts, his word and business structures.
In my 40 plus years in business I've never encountered the anyone as evil as Bowman.in the report, Big Al is Al Bowman himself. As long as individuals can blog and not be responsible for what they write, this type of non-sense will continue.
I have never been contacted by the Attorney General of California or the Department of Consumer Affairs. Bowman did however write and letter to the State of California complaining that I was violating SEC regulations in the State of California which the State investigated and found no violations whatsoever.
As CEO of the Los Angeles Music Awards, the Board of Directors which Bowman was a member of did decide to franchise the company but later abandoned the idea because of the conflicts between the Board and Bowman. Bowman had misappropriated funds on several occasions and interferred in the day to day operations of the Company which the Company had no alterative but to enter into a lawsuit and obtain a retrainer order against Bowman.
In January the Board of Directors gave the name back to Bowman, even though there was a signed agreement for 20 years that Bowman had signed and been paid $25,000 during 2007. The Company (LA Entertainment Works, Inc. Was dissolved). Bowman was the majority shareholder of said corporation too.
