My husband and I stopped to pick up a movie after a Valentines dinner this evening. Imagine our surprise when we were told that we had $8.40 in late fees for two movies. My husband asked to speak with the store manager Brandon and was told that they would split the costs with us.

My husband told him that he wasn't about to do that because the movies were returned on time. I was waiting in the car with our sleeping daughter and when my husband told me about this I then went into the store to talk to the manager. He said that my husband never told him anything that he just walked out. Where does Blockbuster get these little snot nosed liars? Brandon than began to lead me into a nonsense dicussion about whether my husband got stuck in traffic the day he brought them back.

Whatever happenend to good old fashioned customer service?
I have had a movie late now and then and have paid the fees. But we are not about to pay a late fee because Blockbuster employees were to lazy to check the movies in when they were returned.

We plan to follow this letter with a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office.
